THE COMPLETE WOMAN TO HER OWN DAUGHTERS

[But] I know how to protect, my ability to nurture is strong.

He knows I am the one who brings him completeness.

Footnotes

1: "wall"

The Shulammite also has an answer to the question, “What shall we do for our sister, on the day she is spoken for?” Her answer can be stated like this: “Be like me; I know how to protect and how to nurture. Be like me and you will be the one who brings your husband contentment.”

2

This is the great Hebrew word for peace, “Shalom.” It also means, “completeness, wholeness, well-being, favor.”

Implications for marriage: How can she make him complete? It has been said that behind every great man stands a great woman. A wife has been programmed by God to be a good encourager and support for her husband. When she does this well, instead of questioning him and cutting him down, he can excel, and together they can have a great impact on our world.
