Paraphrase
When THE ONLY EFFICACIOUS SACRIFICE gave the second confirmation of His authority, I heard the second representative of all living things say,
“Watch out!”

2: second [of the four] living beings
In this instance, and following, an abbreviated expression is used; it only says “the second living being,” it does not say “the second of the four living beings.” I have chosen to include the full phrase because the concept of “four” is key to understanding the meaning of the symbol. Here, then, we have the use of a symbol in which the power of the symbol is conveyed without even saying the key symbolic word because the image is still in the reader’s mind. Symbolism in the Bible is amazing!
