Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true, and the LORD, the GOD of
the spirits of the prophets sent His angel to show His servants

“servants” is plural. It is obvious that Jesus wanted John to share this message with other believers.

It appears that the angel is now “signing off,” or explaining that his role is now over. He actually does speak again to John, but that is in response to John’s falling to the ground. This does not change the fact that the angel’s role is coming to a close and John will soon hear the words of Jesus Himself with the message John has been waiting for.
