Paraphrase

There will be no cause for fear among God’s people, and they will

need no other source of wisdom,

be that man’s wisdom or the wisdom that can be gleaned from nature, for THE SUPREME RULER, THE CREATOR AND OWNER OF ALL THINGS will reveal His wisdom and insight to them, and they will rule for ever and ever.

Footnotes

1

Night was traditionally seen as the time when bad things happened, robbers would break in and steal, murderers would commit their heinous acts, animals would prowl about, and sicknesses would get worse (since a fever usually gets worse during the evening and night time hours.) They had no streetlights like we do in our cities and no pole lights like American farmers have on their farms. Therefore, ancient peoples of the Near East (now called the Middle East) saw night as a dangerous time, a time of fear.

2

Is this a contradiction? Earlier it was said that the faithful believers will rule for 1,000 years, here it says they will rule for ever and ever. The ancient understanding of these things would say that both statements are saying the same thing because 1,000 years was symbol for complete period of time.
