and my spirit exults

and my inner being along with the life that comes from God’s Spirit breathing His breath into me rejoices in exultation over THE CREATOR AND OWNER OF ALL THINGS, who is also my Savior,

This word means “to rejoice, to exult in, the jump for joy.” It is the same word used of the way the baby leapt in Elizabeth’s womb. This word choice shows exuberant joy for both of these women who had been recipients of divine intervention.
