“Amen, Amen, I say [this] to you, when you were young, you girded yourself and you walked where you desired; however, when you are old, you will stretch forth your hands and another will gird you and will lead you where you do not desire.”
Paraphrase
“Listen! Listen closely because I have something important to say to you. When you were young,
you learned to do things for yourself and you had freedom to go wherever you wanted to go, but when you are old, you will not be able to do things for yourself but you will have to reach out to others for help, (in fact something very specific will happen that will involve you stretching out your arms), and they will take you to a place you would not have chosen on your own.”
