then I saw all the work God has done.

Paraphrase
then I got a glimpse of all that God has set in place. In reality no man can grasp everything that is done on this earth along with its consequences, for though a man work very hard to understand all of that stuff, he cannot find all the answers; even though an exceptionally wise person attempts to understand it all, he cannot find all the answers.

From one word I get the idea of “work that has been done.” It is a word that means, “a deed, work, and accomplishment a product or something that is made, something that is done.” In the paraphrase column I present this as “the things that God has set in place, the way things work for us here on earth.” That is what he was striving to understand.
