Translation

Therefore I hated life because the work that is worked

for all is vapor-like,

a grasping of the wind.

Paraphrase

Therefore I despised life because the things that are done and the work that is accomplished during our time on earth is distressing to me, everything is like a vapor, like trying to catch the wind.
