and the dust returns to the ground as it was, and the spirit returns to ELOHIM who gave it.
Paraphrase
and our body is nothing more than an empty shell made of dust that is returning to the dust of the ground from which it came, and that which gave the body life, the Spirit of THE CREATOR AND RULER OF ALL THINGS has gone back to the one who sent it, leaving the body nothing.
